What we do:

The Disability Discrimination Legal Service Inc (DDLS) is a statewide independent community legal centre that specialises in disability discrimination legal matters, and sexual harassment of women with disabilities in the workplace. We help people with disability who have diverse language and culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, age, socio-economic status, faith and spirituality, and those of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.

We provide free legal services in several areas including information, referral, advice, casework assistance, community legal education, and policy and law reform.

The DDLS provides information, education and training about legal rights and responsibilities under disability discrimination laws for people with disabilities and the general community. For service providers, businesses and government, this service is provided at a reasonable cost. For people with disabilities and their associates, disability advocacy workers, community legal centre workers and for open public seminars, this service is provided free of charge.

Please contact our Community Legal Education Solicitor at solicitor@ddls.org.au or by calling 9654 8644 to make an inquiry about a DDLS training workshop for your organisation or community group.
